In 2006, the Gold Wing 1800 received a few small changes that included increased driver comfort when driving in cold weather (increased heat and airflow adjustments), increased speaker size and frame design (reinforced rear). In the same year, it becomes possible to equip the motorcycle with an airbag (Airbag) and a proprietary navigation system (Internavi).
Since 2018, Honda has offered a new generation of the Gold Wing 1800. The model has received a completely new look, frame and engine. Two versions are now offered - '''' Honda Gold Wing '' (regular version without center bag) and '''' Honda Gold Wing Tour '''' (version with center bag). In addition, there are versions with an automatic DCT. The traditional front fork is replaced by a double-lever fork (reminiscent of the proprietary BMW Duolever suspension), the brake system becomes a 6-piston radial-mounted caliper, the dimension of the brake discs also increases. The new version also features electronic throttle, traction control with a choice of 4 driving modes, 6-speed gearbox (7-speed in DCT), Hill Start Assist, electronically adjustable suspension, pressure sensor in tires and a full-fledged on-board computer.
