The model was focused on sales in Europe and North America, but the motorcycle gained the greatest popularity in Canada and the USA, selling until 2006, when it was replaced by [[Kawasaki_VN900_Vulcan | Kawasaki VN 900 Vulcan]]. The American popularity of the 800th "Volcano" was due to the unique concept of the motorcycle, which in many ways resembled the Harley-Davidson Softail Custom - absolute simplicity without unnecessary attachments, classic American shapes and even the design of the air filter housing were almost identical.
